Warranty Terms & Conditions
Your Rights under the Australian Consumer Law – Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure when the machine cannot be repaired. Proto Coffee Pty Ltd will determine the extent of the failure. Where a failure does not amount to a major failure, Proto Coffee Pty Ltd is entitled to choose between providing you with a repair, replacement or refund.
- Coffee Machines and Grinders purchased for domestic use come with a Back to Base 12 months parts and labour warranty.
- Coffee Machines and Grinders purchased for commercial use come with a Back To Base 12 months parts warranty.
- Accessories and any other equipment we sell only comes with the manufacturer warranty as specified.
This warranty only applies if the machine has been installed and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruction manual
This warranty excludes parts that are prone to normal wear & tear like seals, grinder blades, water pump etc
This warranty is void in the event of any service undertaken by an unauthorized service person or any tampering of any nature with the machine by unauthorized persons
This warranty does not apply to:
- damage caused by accident, misuse or negligence;
- machines sold to other parties other than the original purchaser
- coffee machines that have not replaced water filters as per manufacturers requirements and have not undertaken preventative maintenance care
- products repaired or tampered with by anyone other than Proto Coffee Pty Ltd or its authorized representatives;
- machines where the serial number has been removed or defaced;
- damage caused in transit or when in the possession of the purchaser;
- any circumstances which constitute an “Act of God” (e.g. earthquakes, typhoons, flash floods, etc)
Product Assessment for warranty repair.
Once proof of purchase has been established, if the product fault can safely and clearly be determined, we will offer you either a refund, exchange or repair. The available remedy will depend on whether the fault amounts to a major or minor failure. Most faults can be easily repaired within a reasonable time frame. We will not offer a repair or replacement if the product has been damaged via misuse or abuse.
Examples include but are not limited to inadequately filtered water, lime scaling, corrosion due to high chloride ion concentrations in water, operator errors, unauthorised repair work or modification and fair wear and tear.

We take care to ensure that all information and pricing on the website is current and accurate. However, from time-to-time typographical errors, unintentional misinformation, or omissions may occur. All product information and prices are subject to change at any time at the discretion of Proto Coffee Pty Ltd without prior warning or liability on the part of the company. Proto Coffee Pty Ltd is not bound by any error or incorrect information that appears on the website.
